Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Nathan Turnbull is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Turnbull provides general orthopaedic care, with a special interest in knee and hip replacement.
Dr. Turnbull received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Orlando Health, a Level 1 Trauma Center, where he was exposed to complex fractures, joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgery.
This interest in total joint replacement led to his Fellowship with Joint Implant Surgeons, Inc. in Ohio, where he gained subspecialty training in reconstruction of the hip and knee. Dr. Turnbull has experience in direct anterior hip replacement, minimally invasive partial knee replacement, and reconstruction of failed hip and knee replacements. His residency at a Level 1 trauma center has also prepared him to provide complete fracture care.
During his training, Dr. Turnbull published peer-reviewed articles and presented at national orthopaedic meetings on topics that include periprosthetic knee fractures, partial knee replacements, and the treatment of infected knee and hip replacements. In addition, he has co-authored book chapters on the direct anterior hip replacement and partial knee replacements.
