Dr. Vrej Manoogian is an inventor and orthopedic surgeon, specializing in total joint replacement and spine surgery. He earned his medical degree at The University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. From there, Dr. Manoogian received fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. His orthopedic surgery residency was completed at Memorial Hospital in York, PA and he then underwent special training for total joint replacements at the Townley Orthopedic Clinic in Port Huron, MI. He is a member of both the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.
As an inventor, Dr. Manoogian designed The Living Hip, a unique hip prothesis that has the uncanny ability of imitating the natural functions of the hip joint. The direct anterior surgical approach combined with this prothesis provides a revolutionary treatment for patients with hip arthritis – affording them with excellent long-term results and quicker recovery times.

Since 2001, Dr. Manoogian’s practice has been based in Mt. Dora, FL and his surgical procedures are conducted at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares.
